The Parade Penthouse

1/10

This was a design-and-build project where we worked closely alongside our client to achieve their desired outcome. It was a very detailed project that required considerable project management. The complete apartment was stripped out to allow for the new changes.

On the exterior decks we removed the existing stone garden perimeters, which were taking up considerable usable space, replacing them with new glass balustrading around the exterior of the building edge to maximise the space and views. This then allowed for new external paving tiles to be laid and gave the decks an instant facelift.

Inside, a feature wall was designed and installed between the dining and TV lounge area to hold a double-sided fireplace. The TV side has full-height cabinetry, with a flush-mounted TV and open book case shelves on either side, with built-in ceiling speakers throughout both spaces. The kitchen is one of our favourites, with horizontal slatted timber to the island that allowed the under-bench lighting to show off the shadow lines. Solid oak flooring was installed throughout the open kitchen-dining area.

The main bathroom and ensuite both received custom-made floating bench tops and wall-hung draws. The floor in the main bathroom was raised to create a feature of the sculptural eggshell bathtub. In the ensuite we created a wet room, walk-in shower with his-n-her shower heads and a rainfall shower head in the centre. The main entry hallway and bedrooms were lined with feature wallpaper to add to the apartment's character, along with new carpet, lighting, solid timber doors throughout. Nothing was left untouched in this beautiful new penthouse.
